FREE AT LAST

There is this band called "Antony and the Johnsons" some of you might know certainly. Already when I first listened to their album "I'm a bird now", I was fascinated by the song FREE AT LAST.
Only last night, I let a friend of mine listen to it and as we couldn't figure out the real meaning of it I searched the internet for the lyrics.
I was very amazed after I found out that it is a gospel chant of the slaves from the earlier days and I can understand better now why it caught my attention so strongly.
Life, with it's ups and downs gives us a little challenge everyday, sometimes more and sometimes less. There are even times when you think you're caught up in a cage and you don't know why you can't free ur mind completely anymore.
As soon, though, as there is time for your mind to just be at ease you again know very well how free you really are.
Deep inside yourself, where you can meet and talk with your little Jesus, Buddha, you will always find a friend who would always listen to you.

Free at last

(North american Slaves Spiritual Chant Gospel)

Way down yonder in the graveyard walk
I thank God I'm free at last
Me and my Jesus going to meet and talk
I thank God I'm free at last

On my knees when the light pass'd by
I thank God I'm free at last
Tho't my soul would rise and fly
I thank God I'm free at last

Some of these mornings, bright and fair
I thank God I'm free at last
Goin' meet my Jesus
In the middle of the air
I thank God I'm free at last

Only some time ago I came across this webpage in the internet where you can light a candle. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/search.cfm?l=ger
Very nice idea, isn`t it?!
And therefore I'd like to light up my own candle for me, for you, for the world. May it be with me and spend warmth and security...

Augenblicke

...jede Minute anderst, jede Sekunde neu?

Pulsierende Zeiten im Strome fließend
...in unseren Körpern, in unseren Gedanken;
zum Heilen erschaffen, zum Lieben

Ein Augenblick den Momente findet,
ein Augenblick der Tiefe,
ein Augenblick der Sehnsucht,
ein Augenblick der Schönheit,
ein Augenblick, eine Minute, eine Sekunde,
ein Wunder, ein Zufall....
ein Augenblick des Lebens der unvergesslich bleibt.

...hair grows fast, ey?!? ;-)

The day of an ESP student...

...is always full of studies. But besides that there are many other things to discover, enjoy, feel, see...
And that's what it is all about Babs world. Whereever she is, whatever she does, the world keeps on rotating with its little hidden moments. Sometimes, it seems that the sun helps to see them more clearly and the beauty of a long study day turns into a sunny and enjoyable afternoon.
The morning of another exam week welcomes a little woman in her life with an amazing bicycle ride to school. Sunrises are stunning whereever you see them, wether you see them in New Zealand or over the Telfort Building in Amsterdam. Crazy, isn't it?! And then...the chickens which stumble through the gras just next to the traffic where cars are trying to push themselves towards the lights, which anyways turn green. But the chickens don't care, or do they? I don't think so. And I wonder, wether I'd be better off a chicken which wouldn't be bothered by any so important exam or wether i'd better off a rosty car which is faster than my thoughts, but starts to rost sooner or later anyways.
Hmmmm, I would call myself chicken, ok?! Not chick, but chicken. ;-)
And before I start to imagine how it is to be any other creature I better push myself back to pathology.
Fortunatelly, my balcony is very inviting to do so. It is sunny, it is warm and it is exams. And???
