...a week so full of special moments hasn't happened to me since quite a while now. But as soon as it all takes place the enjoyment is even greater!
It all started with this awesome Goa-Party on two boats which were floating across "The Ij". The boats left at around 1 am and met every hour, so that passengers could step over from one boat to the other boat. Me and my friend stayed over in the lounge for "World Music", where we listened and danced to some great performances with all kind of instruments.
Towards the end there was a stunning sunrise and we watched it from the deck of the boat while floating quietly on the water - drum and base and other tunes in the background. How good was that?
To round it all up, we finished the party with some nice Goa-vibes which let myself drift into a kind of dancy mood.
At its best and very late in the morning (it was about 9am), we decided to hit the road and get the ferry back to town. But there was no ferry, which meant another little tour on the bike to the other side of the island where we could catch the morning ferry.
The way back wasn't exhausting considering the fact that we were dancing for the last 7 hrs. Nope ... it was lovely and the sun smiled at us and invited us for a sunny and warm Queensday.
And indeed, Queensday turnt out to be wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicckkkeeeeddddddddddd!
Laying in the sun at Leidseplein with nice music and nice people was a better decision than going into the crowd, looking for some events going on.
Later we stopped at Weterinsgracht and Museumplein where people got crazy. But the atmosphere was all good and I really liked the vibes going throught the whole town.
...And that was Queensday. A 36 hour day without sleep. ;-)
As if it wouldnt have been enough I visisted my sister Betting in Wesel for one night. Was soooooo good to be with her and i really enjoyed the time over there.
And to top it all up, I came across wonderful people yesterday, who supported my internship site in Nepal which then was able to built a new home for the children. They know all the stuff over there and gave me good advices and contact details.
...the world is so small, isnt it?

Hi Babs. Sounds like a great way to spend Queensday! I'm glad you had a great time.
By the way, I have a couple of Salmonella Dub CDs that I've had sent from New Zealand. Would you like me to send you copies of them? They are from the mid-nineties and more reggae than dub, but they are good. :)))
