1 CUP OF COFFEE = 1 MONTH OF EDUCATION

This is Ashma:

Ashma is one of my patients I am visiting every week. She is 9 years old and has severe Cerebral Palsy. She is not able to sit without support, to stand on her own, to speak, to use her hands in a controlled way and she does not have a special wheelchair or standing frame.
Because her family is living outside of Kathmandu, she is not able to visit the rehabilitation center and school.
Even though, Ashma is very restricted, she wants to learn mathematics and reading. Her eyes and her gestures show us that she understands perfectly.
Since I am visiting Ashma, we observed a great improvement. She now can sit in a living room chair and she already learnt some numbers.
For the future, unfortunatelly there is not enough money yet to provide necessary equipment she will need for toiletting and others.
If anyone is interested in supporting Ashma or other children like here, please let me know.
Leave a comment and I will reply to you and tell you how you can help!

AND REMEMBER: THE PRICE OF 1 CUP OF COFFEE IS THE PRICE OF ONE MONTH OF EDUCATION FOR THESE CHILDREN!!!!!

Hi Babs
I found this entry very moving. You are doing incredible things. I know that it is in your wonderful warm soul to help people and it's a real honour to be your friend. How can I help?
Take care, big big hugs, Paul.

hello Babs, I hope you saw my comment on an other story from you about the centre. I am Corrie Reijnders from stichting ""Holland Building" Nepal.
we built the Holland Building with sponsors from Holland and now we are building the school together with our Irish friends: Bob and Frances Corazza. We are very busy trying to find sponsors for the outreach programme. we know it is very important that children who live outside Ktm get the help they need.we already sponsor one of the districts with our foundation.how long do you stay in Nepal? we will be there the whole month of November, are you still there? and did you meet Rianne, a girl from Holland? she is now on her way back to Holland.we wait for your answer, many warm greetings from Holland. Co and Corrie Reijnders.
